Daughter shoots father with bow and arrow
The Mason County Sheriff's Office said last week that a Tahuya teenager shot her father with a bow and arrow last week after he grounded her and took her cell phone away.
Police received a 911 call from the 35-year-old man claiming that his 15-year-old daughter shot him with a hunting bow. The arrow struck his torso and he was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The 15-year-old girl was later apprehended by sheriffs deputies in the woods near the home near Tee Lake.
Mason County Sheriffs Office Detective William Adam said that upon being apprehended, the girl was found to be despondent with a serious medical issue. He said she was transferred to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.
"Due to her only known family being her father who is undergoing surgery at Harborview, no other information is able to be provided at this time," Detective Adam said. "So, the girl will not be brought before any court until after being released from the hospital and medically cleared to be detained in juvenile detention."
