Shelton man takes his own life

A 28-year-old Shelton man took his own life Saturday, May 14.
Shelton police officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Monroe Street at 1:28 a.m. Saturday following a report of gunfire heard in the area.
Officers soon found Andrew Damien Canfield, 28, dead in the front yard.
Following an argument with his wife, Canfield exited the residence with a shotgun. She called 911 and witnessed him shoot himself while on the line with dispatchers.
