Northwest Farm Credit Services gave a grant to the Power County Hospital Foundation that went toward a new concrete pad and ramp on the northwest side of the hospital.

Mark Rose, with the Davis-Rose Mortuary, utilizes that entry to the hospital and has talked with Power County Hospital. Administrator Dallas Clinger for years about installing a new concrete pad. The concrete on the old ramp and pad was broken up and not level. The pad will also be used to transport nursing home residents in and out of the building.

The new ramp is one project in a series of fixes for the hospital, Clinger said. The grant that helped pay for the project is for rural communities. This is the first time American Falls has received that particular grant, although Northwest has donated to the community through other ways, said Russ Taylor with Northwest.

"It's a great improvement," Clinger said. "It makes it, so much safer."
