The City Council will be fine-tuning the local option tax proposal over the next few weeks in preparation for the vote in November. At 1% it would cost about $4 a month for a single person, and up to $7 for a large family.

The city adopted the new liaison descriptions and positions, and insurance will be provided to Leonard and Kim, at full consent of the council.

The council discussed the new sidewalk bulb outs and what could be done to make them look better. Several ideas were suggested and a plan will be formulated to present to the council.

Warren Drake introduced himself to the council as the backup Water Manager so Doug Buys can take a vacation or have a day off now and again.

The Bikeathon is in the works and will be coming soon. Brad Steiner is already working on it.

Dates for city. budget meetings, which will begin next month, will be finalized at the next City Council meeting.
