State sales tax collections decrease

Area towns and counties sales and use tax collections dropped from collections of one year ago.

Of all the communities and counties listed on the accompanying sales tax chart, Miami and Wyandotte were the only two towns with increases to their sales tax collections, with Miami enjoying a slight increase of 2.0 percent and Wyandotte's collections soaring from $65550 collected in 2008 to A copy of ODOT's current instruction manual was presented to the commissioners by Bruce Martin, who reviewed the various procedures and standards with new commissioner Gary Wyrick. Also, an agreement for homebound detention services was approved between the county and David Bennet.

Jo Montana of Grand Gateway Economic Development Association went over the county's repetitive flood claims grant and severe repetitive loss grant. Montana was thanked for her invaluable service to the county.
