Funeral services for Mariola Hollis Foster, age 71, of Ruston, LA were held 2 P M Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Temple Baptist Church Chapel in Ruston. Officiating the service was Rev. David Abernathy. Interment followed at Camp Creek Cemetery in Spearsville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA.

Mrs. Foster was bom in Spearsville, LA on October 12, 1942 and passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 after a lengthy Illness. She was preceded in death by the love of her life; Terry Foster and her son Robert.

Mariola (Mary) loved to Travel. She had visited almost every State and Nation. She enjoyed camping and was happiest when she and her husband had the fifth wheel camper in tow behind the truck as they headed to some unknown destination. Earlier in her life there was no greater joy than to be snow skiing in the Rockies or water skiing on a North Louisiana lake. She loved flowers and could not wait for spring. With her "Green Thumb" she could make anything grow. Mary was the volunteer pianist at Camp Creek Baptist Church for over 40 years. Mrs. Foster resided on their family farm in Spearsville until the last few years of her life.

She is survived by her children: Jeff Foster and wife Penny of Spearsville, LA and Jerri Abernathy and husband David of Ruston, LA; grandchildren: Kristen Bissell and husband Mattieu; Jason Ledet, Dixie Williams and husband Ethan and Jonathan Abernathy; great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Emma and Lilly Bissell; sister-in-law: Dianne Alexander and husband Travis of Natchitoches, LA; siblings: Howard Hollis, Calvin Hollis and Bonnie Miller and numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Visitation was held from 1 PM till time of service at the church.
