David Allen Hill

Mr. David Allen Hill, 58, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in the VA Medical Center, Gainesville, Fla., following an extended illness.

Mr. Hill was born October 24, 1955 in Homerville, to the late Daniel B. Hill and Mary Ann Pittman Hill. He was a heavy equipment operator for DuPont Wood Yard and was a member of the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church and attended the Unity Christian Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Brian Hill and one brother, Huey Hill.

Survivors are his wife, Nancy Nipper Hill of Homerville; five daughters, Myrinda Hill, Rebecca Hill, Pamela Harrell, Anisa Royals and Jamie Lee Davis all of Homerville; one son, Hayden Davis of Homerville; four sisters, Mary Henderson of Waverly, Ga., Jean Rewis, Dorothy Balance and Linda Powell all of Homerville; five brothers, Daniel Hill of Lake City, Fla., Deanie Hill of Homerville, Mark Hill of Valdosta, Dwight Hill of Jasper, Fla. and Charles Hill Blounstown, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; hunting buddies, Deanie Hill, Jr. and Densil Hill and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services for Mr. Hill were held Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church.

Officiating was Rev. Keith Chauncey, Rev. Howard Slocumb, Rev. Claude Landrum and Rev. Nancy Morgan.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

Mrs. Evelyn Willson sang, "The Anchor Holds", Mrs. Crystal Young sang, "When We All Get To Heaven", Mrs. Carleen Wilson and Mrs. Evelyn Wilson sang, "Look For Me", and Shiloh Choir sang, "White Horse".
