A Grand Ridge man is facing charges after several pieces of crack cocaine, some marijuana and a can that appeared to have been used to smoke illegal drugs were found in his vehicle during a late night traffic stop on Christmas Eve, according to a report from the Blountstown Police Department.

Dexter Marquis Williams, 24, was stopped on South Pear Street just before midnight when an officer noticed one of his headlights was out.

The officer noted a strong odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle when he spoke with the driver. Three open beer bottles were in plain sight on the passenger's side floorboard.

During a search of the car, officers reported finding three marijuana "roaches" in the ash tray, a piece of crack cocaine on the floorboard, and an aluminum can in the rear floorboard that had been used as a pipe. A plastic bag found tucked in the console between the front seats was found and contained an unspecified amount of marijuana, a white substance that tested positive for cocaine, and a pill bottle that held five pieces of cocaine. Three hundred dollars in cash was also found under the console.

Williams was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

His bond was set at $3,500.
