Gene E. Lahodny

Gene E. Lahodny, son of Ernest Lahodny and Merle (Anderson) Lahodny was born June 23, 1937 at Belleville, Kansas and passed away on December 19, 2013 at Salina, Kansas, at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 26 days.

He graduated from Clifton High School. He served with the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He was a custom Harvester. Gene was united in marriage to Esther E. Trybom on August 25, 1969.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emest and Merle Lahodny, one brother, Lonnie Lahodny.

He is survived by his wife, Esther Lahodny of Concordia, Kansas, one step son, Steve (Cindy) Kahrs of Clay Center, Kansas, one step daughter, Arlene Haden of Nickerson, Kansas. seven step grandchildren, fourteen step great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Cremation was chosen.

Memorial services were conducted by Kent Otott December 28, 2013, at the Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, Kansas.

Memorials may be given to Family Choice.

A Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
