EDNA FAY TRACY TIPTON

SPEARMAN - Edna Fay Tracy Tipton, 94, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010.

Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2009 in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo with the Rev. Perry Hunsaker officiating. Arrangements were by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Edna was born July 10, 1915, in Mulberry, Kan. She married John Allen Tipton in September 1941 in Girard, KS. He preceded her in death in 1972.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church of Amarillo. She was a member and officer of The Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile. She was a teacher in her early years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin Roy and Lottawanna Mae Tracy.

Survivors include a brother, Everett R. Tracy of Spearman; a nephew, Richard M. Tracy of Waco; a great-nephew, Jay Franklin Tracy and wife Jennifer of Waco; a great-niece, Amy Kathryn Abel and husband Aaron of Waco; and a great-great-niece, Caroline Grace Abel of Waco.

The family suggest memorials be to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4317 W. Interstate 40, Amarillo, TX 79106-4749; or First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 399, Spearman, TX 79081.

Visitation will be Wednesday morning at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors in Amarillo.
