The Wallowa-Whitman National Forest will soon begin accepting applications for the final phase of temporary employment opportunities.

The first two rounds of temporary hiring are already complete, and Forest officials will soon move into the third and final phase. Applicants interested in temporary positions must apply online to open vacancies available through www.USAjobs.gov.

The time period for candidates to submit applications for Phase Three is March 10-16. This includes positions such as Information Receptionist and Fire and Equipment Dispatchers.

Additional information about the available local positions, work locations, as well as direct contact information for each of the position supervisors, is now available at http://www.fs.usda.gov/main/wallowa-whitman/about-forest/jobs and will be updated on a regular basis until hiring is complete.

Applicants are reminded to apply to the assigned announcement number associated with the position of interest. Applicants should select only those duty locations where they are willing to accept work. Prospective employees are also encouraged to contact the local supervisor of any position they are interested in.
