FORSYTH: Myletia Lyn Floyd Sanderson, 56, passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Forsyth United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ken Stephens will officiate. The family will greet friends at 10:00 a.m. the day of the service until service time.

Lyn, the daughter of the late Robert Dale Floyd and Jevene Sanders Floyd, was born Feb. 10, 1957, in Hawkinsville. She was a 1975 graduate of Jonesco Academy, where she lettered in basketball and was a member of the girls state basketball championship team in 1975. She was also voted Miss Jonesco in 1975. Lyn received her Associate's degree in nursing in June 1982 and was employed with Coliseum Hospital, where she was an operating room nurse for more than 30 years. She was an avid runner; her true passion was the food pantry ministry at Forsyth United Methodist Church, where she was a member.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Sanderson of Forsyth; daughter, Lynsey Sanderson of Forsyth; sisters and brother-in-law, Sheila and Clay Wood of Jones County and Jamie Floyd of Jones County.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Forsyth United Methodist Food Pantry Ministries, 68 W. Johnston St., Forsyth, GA 31029.

Monroe County Memorial Chapel in Forsyth has charge of arrangements. Please to express tributes.
