After less than a year, Stephen Rinaldi, the fire chief hired in Spring, 2013, and officially took over the position on April 10, has been replaced. The board of commissioners for the Kuna Rural Fire District announced in a press release that they did not renew the annual contract for Rinaldi.

Born into a firefighting family, Rinaldi and his wife, Kelly, moved to Kuna from Florida where he had served as Deputy Fire Chief in Citrus County and as Assistant Fire Chief in Escambia County.

Prior to his arrival, the Kuna Rural Fire District had been led by Interim Fire Chief Bruce Allcott for four months.

The Kuna Rural Fire District Commissioners also announced that Jon Tillman, the Assistant Fire Chief, will become the interim fire chief for six months at which time the position will be reviewed.
