Prairie Queen 4-H Meets

Prairie Queen 4-H club had their March meeting Sunday the 15th. Pledges were lead by Katherine, American, Koree, 4-H. Members present: Pres. Lakota Roberson, Secretary Kaycee Ellenberger, Historians Emily and Alexa Nelson, Lauren and

Ross Brown, Brooklynn Jones, Hallie Morlan, Alex Hishanuma, Hatch, Case and Aspen Nelson, Koree Ellenberger, Brandon and Brently Lening, Cade and Madison McDowell, Will Crow, Taygen Ferris, Samatha Rose, Ty Wilson, Brinden and Garret Williams, Katherine and Hailee Trosper, Kadan Dunlap.

Minutes from last meeting were read by Kaycee no additions or changes to minutes it was moved and seconded to accept minutes motion passed. Treasures report no changes, did discuss a bill to pay for projects books, it was moved and seconded to pay motion passed.

Old Business: Enrollment it went well most enrolled early we have 35 regular members and 15 Cloverbud members. Add drop date for projects is April 15th. Beef weigh-in, 6 animals weighed in. Paying for project books.

New Business: MQA March 27th 10 to noon community building. Leader training March 18th court house meeting room 6 to 8 p.m. 4-H Council meeting court house April 6th 6:30 p.m. Sheep and Goat weigh-in May 26th 4 to 7 p.m. fairgrounds. Swine nominations due May 26th Extension Office or at weigh-in. COOL Forms for all market animals at weigh in. Also listed for members and families Fair schedule changes and some Fair rule changes.

Other Business: Gloria needs t-shirts sizes for club t-shirts. Nursing Home visit Good Friday, April 3rd was discussed.

Demonstrations: Emily- What is used for canning. Brinden- How to help keep pigs healthy. Alexa- Wool to yarn to fabric. Kaycee- Archery safety and items for safety. Koree- Bucket calf items for feeding. Ty-Pigs what he has and new litters.

Important Dates: March 20-22 District Retreat, March 18th Leader Training, March 27th MQA, April 6th 4-H Council Meeting, April 15th Add Drop Date.

Next meeting April 19th 3;00 p.m. court house. Host families will be Ferris and Dunlap.

It was moved and seconded to adjourn meeting motion passed. The host families were Crow and Hishanuma.


March 21st the Prairie Queen 4-H Cloverbuds meet. Their projects were for Easter they made bunny napkin 'holders. They first blew dyed eggs and then scrambled the yolks and whites dyed that for a breakfast treat. Cloverbuds were Hailee Trosper, Clayton Nelson, Savanna Brown, Zoie Arnold-Kraft, Gaige Arnold, Carmen McPherson, also Cheyenne Brown, Kyra Gaynor, Zoey Trosper, and Macey Trosper. The helpers were Missy Jones, Michelle Nelson, Nadene Gaynor, and Katherine Trosper for her mom and Cloverbud Leader Gloria Trosper.
