Edward George Wynn, 89, passed away January 5, 2014. He was born on December 9, 1924 in Brooklyn. New York.

"George" proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier during WWII. After his service, he moved to Colorado to pursue an education and further his love of horses. H; received his Bachelors Decree in Civil Engineering from CU Boulder, married his wife Sally and moved to Alaska for two years working for the U.S. Coast Guard. They returned to Colorado and opened an unfinished furniture business and had two children, Mike and Sherri. They family moved to New York while George earned his second d-i?ree in Architecture from the Pratt Institute. They art tied in Albuquerque where their third child, Abbe, was born, manv of George's unique buildings stand today. In the 70s, the family left the city for a rural setting (Saguache). George finally felt he had found a home. He loved the Valley and close mountain ranges where he drew inspiration for building designs, training horses, serving on the school board and always sketching portraits.

George is survived bv daughter, Sherri (husband Warrie), grand-kids Shelby and Jacob and son-in-law Mike McDaniel and grand-kids Morgan and Jared.

He recently said his two favorite building he designed were the synogogue in Albuquerque and the jail in Alamosa.

Graveside Military Services will be held Saturday, January 18th at 11.00 a.m.
