BCF Offers 2015 Grants

The Brownsville Community Foundation will be awarding $5,500 worth of grants to Central Linn organizations. During the Board meeting of Thursday, January 8, the total amount to be offered in grants was decided upon based on 50% of donations received during the year 2014. This is the fourth year the organization is offering grants to local organizations. Applications are available at The Times office and will be accepted through April 30, after which time the BCF Board will decide which grants to award.

Applications will be accepted beginning on February 1, but can be obtained as of now. The mailing address of the Brownsville Community Foundation is PO Box 4, Brownsville, OR, 97327.

The Board members are Mark Running, Bob Anderson, Lori Garcy, Chenoweth Robertson, Jan Schilling, Jennifer Meltzer, and Don Ware.

Grants awarded in 2014 were to Central Linn Gleaners, Calapooia Food Alliance, Sharing Hands, Brownsville Art Association, Calapooia Watershed Council/Central Linn Outdoor School, COLT, Halsey Methodist Church, Halsey Library, and Senior Meals.
