Tommie Jo Young

Funeral services for Mrs. Tommie Jo Young, 78, of Tatum, were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2013, at the chapel of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home, with the Rev. Trey Roberson and Michael Wright officiating.

Interment followed in Tatum Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. The family received friends from 2-4:00 p.m., December 22, 2013 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Young passed from this life December 19, 2013, at her residence. She was born January 15, 1935, in Cass County, to Emmett and Julia Brooks Belote. Mrs. Young and her husband, Jack E. Young, were married on May 17, 1957. She was retired from Tatum Telephone and was a member of First Baptist Church of Tatum. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett "Buck" Belote and Julia Brooks Belote. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Jack E. Young of Tatum; daughter, Natalie Wright and husband, Michael, of Keller; brother, Emmett J. Belote and wife, Gudrun, of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Mittie Ann Perry and husband, Wayne, of Longview and Emilie Jane Thane of White Oak; grandchildren, Aaron Wright of Burbank, Calif, and Lauren Brown and husband, Cameron, of Irving; greatgrandchildren, Shepherd and Sawyer Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Aaron Wright, Cameron Brown, Clay Burton, Larry Smith, Tate Smith and Curt Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Burton, Kevin Belote, Don Griffin, Gerald Griffin and Steve Gray.
