Linda McDonald perfect winner of Pickin's Contest

Linda McDonald of Harrisville is last week's Pigskin Pickin's Contest winner.

McDonald, along with Aaron Riggs of Pennsboro and Duane Cox of Vienna, correctly picked the winners of all six of the West Virginia High School Play-Off games.

The tie breaker, the total points scored in the WVU-Iowa game, was used to determine the winner. The total number of points scored during the game was 61.

McDonald selected 56 points, while Riggs selected 48 points and Cox selected 74 points.

Contestants correctly picking the winners of five of the six games included: Don Morrison, Kenny Drain and Ted VanScoy of Pennsboro; Vince Butta, Cheryle Deems and Charles Copeland of Ellenboro; Bryan McDonald, Mike Snodgrass and Charles Copland III of Harrisville; and Kendra Williamson of St. Marys.

Contestants correctly picking the winners of four of the five games included: Kenny Cunningham, Mark Spiker and Doug Riggs of Pennsboro; John Farley of Ellenboro; Paul Beall and Lisa Foster of Harrisville; Stephen Bonner of Middlebourne; and Bob Collins of Morgantown.

Entries for this week's Pigskin Pickin's Contest must be received in The News office, located at 102 N. Spring Street, Harrisville, or postmarked by 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5.
