Marion Music Department Presents Pops Music Concert

The Marion music department sponsored a Pops concert on Monday evening, February 2nd.

Students were allowed to perform solo, as a duet, or as a larger group. The 7-12 band began the program with a couple popular selections entitled "Cups" and "Applause".

Individual solos were sung by Mason DeJong and Elizabeth Paschal. Lindsey and Lisa Bailey gave a flute duet. Isaac Larson with Michael Cremer and Nic Pessia with Lindsey Bailey sang vocal duets. Eighth graders Macey Novak, Gene Olson, Trinytee Stewart and Indiana Thomas performed a vocal selection.

The concert concluded with the 6-12 boys singing "Counting Stars" and the 6-12 girls singing "Shake It Off."

Following the music, the audience was treated to a free will offering dessert bar with the proceeds being used to fund the music trip next year.
