August was the best for real estate sales in a long time.

In Council, I business opportunity, 2 houses and one recreational cabin were sold. Cambridge sold 2 single family dwellings with acreage. In Indian Valley a lot, a ranch and a mobile home were sold. In New Meadows there were sold: 3 building lots, 1 condo, 1 mobile home and 3 houses. A total of 17 properties sold for a total sale price of $4,852,200.

Listings according to the Mountain Central MLS remain high at 330. Their average age is 357 days. They consist in part of 145 building lots, 19 ranches, 18 recreational properties, 33 houses in town and 50 houses with acreage. A classification which has shown a large increase is the "Will Build to Suit" with 20 offerings. There are builders here who are willing to build you a new home. They have a buildable lot and are ready to go.
