Community Bank Delaware supports Operation Taste of Home

Bank will collect donations through Feb. 29



Working in partnership with Girl Scout Brownie Troop 579, Community Bank Delaware will collect donations for Operation Taste of Home through Wednesday, Feb. 29. Operation Taste of Home is a program that allows the community to support Girl Scouts, military troops and charities on the Delmarva Peninsula

To support Operation Taste of Home, individuals, businesses, service organizations and community groups may stop by Community Bank Delaware to donate boxes of Girl Scout cookies to be sent to U.S. armed forces stationed overseas. Community Bank Delaware will also collect cookie donations for local service people and local agencies.

"Community service partnerships like this are the basis of our organization We're a business like any other, but being a local community bank brings with it the responsibility that supports our local service people, local agencies and our armed forces stationed overseas," said Lynda Messick, president and CEO of Community Bank Delaware.

Girl Scout Brownie Troop 579 and Community Bank Delaware at 16982 Kings Highway, Lewes, will team up from 4 to 6 p.m, Friday, Feb. 24, and 9 am. to noon, Saturday, Feb. 25, to take orders for Girl Scout cookies or donations for Operation Taste of Home.

Girl Scout cookies are also available at the bank's 36993 Rehoboth Ave. Extended, Rehoboth Beach location. For further information about Operation Taste of Home, call 302-226-3333.
