The St. Marys High School Alumni Association is already busy preparing for the 2015 festivities.

This year's honor class end in 0 and 5 and alumni festivities will continue to be held the weekend of the Memorial Day holiday, May 22-25.

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2015 Alumnus of the Year. Nominations on alumni association forms will be accepted in sealed envelopes until Monday, March 16, at 6 p.m. at the Pleasants County Public Library, St. Marys Nomination forms can be obtained from president Susan Bailey or treasurer Denette Miller.

Along with the new nominations, any nominations carried over from the previous year, not selected as Alumnus of the Year, will be added. Nominations are only kept for two years.

At that time, the screening committee, which consist of one representative from each honor class, will review all the nominations and make a recommendation of two individuals to the selection committee.

That committee is comprised of the alumni association vice president, secretary and treasurer. Each of those individuals must invite a member of a non-honor class to also attend and vote. In the event of a tie president Bailey will cast a vote.

Bailey encourages everyone to make sure a representative from each honor class attends the March 16 screening process. For Alumnus of the Year nomination forms or to volunteer to help with the alumni association contact Bailey at 304.665.2987 or Miller at 304.684.9935.
