At the April 21 meeting of the Pleasants County Board of Education, superintendent Mike Wells announced inventory of items left in the old St. Marys High School has begun with hopes of a public auction this summer.

He also told board members he is currently looking at the option to move the weight room at the old St. Marys High School that was constructed and financed by volunteers, to the new high school athletic complex.

Wells gave a tentative price of $45,000 from Grae-Con Construction to prepare flooring and pillars needed to move the structure at the new site. It could then be used as a timing building and for storage.

Board members agreed there is a need to get those volunteers, if available, involved in the discussion and hope to invite them to an upcoming meeting.
