Applications are now available at St. Marys High School for the Robert F. Stanley Foreign Language Scholarship. Dr. Stanley first established this scholarship to provide monetary support for students and alumni of St. Marys High School who are interested in studying foreign languages at the collegiate level. This scholarship was first awarded in 1992 to former student and teacher, Wendy Malone Mace.

To be considered for the award, the applicant must be a senior or be a recent alumnus of SMHS currently enrolled in a college level foreign language course and commit themselves to at least 4 semesters of foreign language courses. They must supply the selection committee with a current copy of their transcript as well as the completed application. A written and oral sample will also be required.

Those interested in obtaining a copy of the application need to contact Susan Travers at the high school. Individuals that have applied for the scholarship in the past, or are past recipients of this award are encouraged to resubmit their application. The completed application must be submitted to Travers no later than May 12, 2015.
