Lifelong learning classes for summer

Livingin a Global World. Why do you feel like a foreigner in your own country or town? Migration movements and transnationalism have created a situation where people of different cultural backgrounds are living side by side.

In this class you'll learn about cross-cultural dynamics in cultures from South America to Africa. Tuesday, l-2:30 p.m., June 30-July 21. Class is taught by Dr. Mary Schweitzer, a cultural anthropologist. Members $40. Nonmembers $80.

Tell Your Own Story. The class is designed for beginning to advanced writers. You'll learn to write about key points in your life that you want to share with family and friends and you'll learn how to turn your story into a readable book. Class is taught by writer Gloria Campbell. Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m.-12 noon, July 1-Aug. 19. Members $75. Nonmembers $150.
