We're headed for drought

The Adams County Record of Council, Idaho

Dear Editor,

In the 7-8-2015 issue of The Record were three letters by Brandi Horton, Mark Briscoe, and Mike Fisk, all three are 100% correct and I would like to encourage all readers to read them and take to heart the messages that are put forward as they are correct in every way shape and form.

I would like to comment on Brandi Horton's letter as near as I see the water shortage it is going to get nothing but worse, because after this year we will have no water left in the reservoirs for next year.

Even if we have a record snow fall this winter, the forests have been clear-cut and burnt until we have no shade left for the ground, all there is left especially in the higher elevations is bare ground and the snow will just melt and run off.

Also the forests that used to absorb carbon dioxide are no more but that carbon dioxide is still there growing more little trees and brush which in turn is taking the water. Yes, we are headed for a drought big time like California if something is not done, however I think we are almost to late too correct the problem.
