Locals finish at top at first high school rodeo

The District Four high school rodeo kicked off its season at the Bannock County Fairgrounds in Pocatello on Friday and Saturday, April 3 and 4. Top finishing locals are listed below.

At the Friday Rodeo, Hailey Driscoll took third in barrel racing with a time of 17.658, and Lexie Lehman took fourth with a time of 17.763. Cassidy Swanson took ninth with a time of 18.556.

Lehman took third in breakaway roping with a time of 5.290. Cooper Bradshaw took sixth in calf roping with a time of 19.33. Lehman then took eighth in goat tying with a time of 13.55.

In pole bending, Hailey Driscoll took first with a time of21.203, and Lehman took second with a time of 21.435. Cassidy Swanson took fifth with a time of 22.458. Klae O'Brien took ninth with a time of 23.567.

Bradshaw and his partner Tristen Hutchings took third in the team roping with a time of 12.10. Tyler Scherer and Gus Kuttler took fourth with a time of 14.3270. Lehman and partner Chrissy Draper-Tysor took sixth with a time of 25.52.

In the rodeo on Saturday, Driscoll took third in barrel racing with a time of 17.002. Lehman took fifth with a time of 17.193.

Swanson took tenth with a time of 18.188. Lehman took second in breakaway roping with a time of 3.72, and ninth in goat tying with a time of 13.790.

Driscoll took first in pole bending with a time of 20.729. Lehman took third with a time of 21.222. Swanson took fifth with a time of 21.996. Travis Dahlke and Justin Wiscombe took fourth in team roping with a time of 18.57.
