As you may have heard on news reports, the tragic problems of kidnapping and child stealing are a real concern in our society. In response to this problem, local organizations, the school, and law enforcement agencies will conduct, as a public service, a fingerprint registration program.

The Aberdeen PTSA, American Legion, Aberdeen Police Department and Bingham County Sheriff's Department are the sponsors of the fingerprint registration program for kindergarten students of Aberdeen Elementary School on Friday, April 24 from 9:30-12 noon.

This program is totally voluntary and the fingerprint cards can be obtained from your child's teacher.

There is only one copy of the card and this copy is given to the parents. All kindergarten students will be fingerprinted unless the form sent home with your child is signed and returned. If you have a child, ages 6-11 and they have not been fingerprinted and you would like to have them registered, please send a note with them to school, giving authorization.

If there are additional questions, please call Aberdeen Elementary School at 397-4115.
