Idaho Power crews restored power to the Eagle Valley area on Tuesday morning, September 15.

According to Keith Schaub, who spoke on behalf of the power company on Tuesday evening at the community meeting in Halfway, 17 workers, putting in 16-hhur shifts worked all day Monday and all night Monday night in order to restore electricity to Richland and surrounding areas in Eagle Valley. Most of the power was restored in Eagle Valley at about 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, but a few customers waited about 45 minutes longer for their power to come back on.

The Idaho Power crews reportedly had to replace 14 power poles that were part of the distribution system that serves Eagle Valley in addition to another nine structures that take power towards Baker City. The latter power poles did not cause any power outages during the Dry Gulch fire.
