Democrat Bethany Hall-Long is running for lieutenant Governor to make Delaware heathier and stronger.

She has the best track record of leadership, experience and results.

And she has the passion to address the challenges facing Delaware in the future.

Recently, she combined her roles as a state senator and a public health nurse to write legislation that will make Delaware families healthier and stronger. The Senate bill requires hospitals to train a patient's caregiver (a family member or friend) on how to help a loved one returning home from the hospital and develop a plan for the caregiver to follow.

More than 120,000 Delawareans are providing care and support for loved ones who need it. Sen. Hall-Long knows firsthand the challenges the caregivers face and is now making sure those caregivers receive the support they need.

As a caregiver myself, I can personally tell you how important it is to have information from doctors and nurses, as well as directions that are clear and easy to follow. We all want our loved ones to be as comfortable and well-cared-for as possible at home without having to return to the hospital.

This legislation is just one of many examples of how Sen. Hall-Long has already been working hard every day for the health of Delaware.

As lieutenant governor, I know Sen. Hall-Long will be the best choice to fight for Democratic policy proposals that will make Delaware healthier and stronger. Please join me in supporting her on Sept. 13.
