Idahoans who started the process of signing up for health insurance before March 31 but were not able to finish before the deadline have less than two weeks to complete the process.

"Idahoans who are still working to finish their applications need to be persistent," said Jody Olson, the communications director for Your Health Idaho. "We want everyone who has started an application to finish and the clock is ticking:"

April 15 will be the final day for Idahoans to sign up for a plan. If they need help completing the process they 'can contact the agent, broker or In-Person Assister they have been working with or call 1-800-318-2596 to get assistance.

People who did not start the application process before the end of March will have to wait until the next open enrollment period, which starts November 15, to shop on Idaho's health insurance exchange unless they experience a qualifying life event. Anyone who gets married, has a baby, adopts a child, moves to another state, has changes in employment, or experiences the death spouse or child will be able to sign up or change their existing health insurance plan outside of open enrollment. To see if you've experienced a qualifying life event you can call 1-855-YH-Idaho.

"Open enrollment is over, but there is still a lot of work to be done," said Olson. "We feel like we were able to reach a lot of Idahoans in the past six months, but this is a complicated issue and we know it will take a lot more time to help Idahoans understand Your Health Idaho and what it could mean for them and their family."

If Idahoans have questions about Your Health Idaho they can call l-855-YH-Idaho or visit YourHealthldaho.org.
