Stockbridge Woman Perishes in Meriwether Wreck
Rhonda Lee Brownlee, 37, of Stockbridge was killed in an automobile accident on August 23, according to reports filed at Manchester State Patrol Post 34.
Jimmy Shane Andrews, 36, of Morrow was air lifted to Atlanta Medical Center for his injuries from the same accident.
The accident occurred at 6:55 p.m. on State Route (SR) 54 near Johnson Road.
William Albert Cook, 80, of Luthersville was also in the accident, in a different vehicle, but suffered no reported injury.
Cook was driving a 1991 Toyota Halfton Pickup when he struck Andrews' 2015 Dodge Charger after
Andrews failed to yield the right of way when making a left turn, Trooper Klayten Asay wrote in his report.
After impact, Andrews traveled off the roadway on the south side of SR 54, struck a tree with its front end, and came to rest.
Cook's vehicle came to rest facing south in a private driveway.
Brownlee, who was Andrews' passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Meriwether County Coroner.
