Summer is definitely in full swing and there are people outside in the sun a lot! Here are a few reminders about your hair and the sun.

If you are goingto be outside and you have color in your hair, you may consider combing a little sunscreen through it to protect it from the sun. The same agents that are in sunscreen to protect your skin can shield your hair from the harmful rays, too, keeping your color looking fresh.

Also, if you have blonde highlights (natural or processed) and you are planning on swimming a lot, you don't have to have green hair! Before you go out, wet your hair with water from the shower. When your hair is dry, it WILL absorb water. If youdrenchitwithshowerwater, there will be little room for the bleach water.

If you plan to sunbathe as well, after you wet your hair you may want to work in just a little conditioner. While sitting in the sun, the heat can act as a catalyst in a deep conditioning treatment.

This is too funny. Cedric Hardwicke said,"I believe that God felt sorry for actors so he created Hollywood to give them a place in the sun and a swimming pool. The price they had to pay was to surrender their talent." Go and be beautiful! Look for poll questions to answer or post questions to the wall on Real-Simple Beauty on Facebook.
