Stock Show Season Comes to an End

The San Angelo and Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was the last stop in 2010 for Knox County stock showers. Individuals show casing their animals back in February in San Angelo were Brylee White and Brogan White with their goats; and Kristen Kuehler and Madison Thompson with their hogs. In the barrow show Madison Thompson received a 3rd place in the Hampshire division and an 8th place in the Crossbred division.

In Houston there were entries in the steer, swine, and lamb show. Logan Groves had a 12th place wiith his Simmental steer. Kristen Kuehler placed 12th in the classs with her Fine Wool Cross lamb. Cody Propps, Rocky Smith, Jade Brown, Katelyn Brown, Shannon Reeves, and Kristen Kiuehler all had entries in the barrow show. Rocky Smith had a 4th place and Jade Brown had a 7th place with their Hampshire banrows. All of these individuals and their families devoted countlless hours of hard work and preparation with these projects for the shows and it showed. Congratulations to all of these exhibitors for a job well done in San Angelo and Houston and for a great year. We look forward to next years show season and good luclk to those who plan on jack potting and showing at the State Fair later on this year.
