Dewey commissioner appreciates fireworks

I want to express my personal thanks to Highway One group in general and Alex Pires in particular for the generous donation of the fireworks display on the night of July 4. It was a fantastic show that has drawn thousands of families to Dewey over the last few years. This type of event indicates the spirit of cooperation that has begun to develop between the town, the residents and business community; and it is an indication of what is ahead for Dewey Beach as we all pull together for our mutual benefit. I'm sure there will be a few persistent hiccups along the way, but I look forward to many positive years for our town.
