After a November 2014 election that yielded no Mayor for the city of Tangent, the city finally has one. In the January 12th meeting, Loel Trulove Jr. was appointed by the city's council to fill the vacant seat. Trulove seemed to be getting up to speed quickly as the council addressed the city's business. More of the specifics of his role as Tangent's Mayor will be explored in next month's meeting on February 9th.

The Tangent City Council also discussed the repair of several picnic benches at City Hall and the city's parks. Council voted to approve the repairs pending confirmation that the materials listed in the winning bid were deemed safe for picnic/food use.

There was also discussion about two large volume septic tanks near Lake Creek Drive. The two tanks are currently leaking and in need of repair. However, due to the depth of the tanks, the city was required to seek the help of another septic service vendor certified to safely repair these deep tanks. The council voted to accept the bid from AB septic.
