May 2nd and 3rd will be the weekend for Carriage Me Back this year. Carriage Me Back is a fundraiser sponsored by the Linn County Museum Friends. We will be celebrating the year 1882. This is will be a somewhat historic, always enjoyable community drama of life in Brownsville and the Central Linn area in 1882. Dressed in period costumes, local actors will take on the personalities of well-known historical characters. Visitors will ride in an open horse-drawn carriage from the Linn County Historical Museum to the 1881 Moyer House, and will enjoy reenactments at stops along the way. Hours are Saturday, May 2nd, from 10:00 a.m. — 3:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 3rd, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Carriage Ride Cost is $10/adult, $5 for children (ll and under), and $ 160 for a full carriage. A full carriage holds 20 people. Reservations are recommended. For ticket information and reservations call the Linn County Museum at 541-466-3390, or stop by during our open hours, which are Tuesday — Saturday from 11-4. We accept cash and checks only, no credit cards.
