CORINTH — Surrounded by family at home while angels were rejoicing, Jesus took the hand of his faithful daughter, Mildred (Millie) A. Bruder, and led her home to be with her Lord and Savior on the afternoon of Aug. 22, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Millie was born on Oct. 8, 1939 in Newark, NJ, the daughter of Mildred and Frank Wenzel.

Millie was married to her faithful husband, George, for over 50 years.

While living in New Jersey, Millie and George started a family. Millie was a loving mom, devoted wife, and hardworking homemaker. Millie loved to crochet, sew, and spend time at church. In 1986, after raising their first five children, Millie and George moved to their home in Corinth, which they loved very much, with their youngest daughter.

Millie began attending Corinth Bible Church and enjoyed sharing the Word of the Lord with all those she came to know. Shortly after moving to Corinth, Millie also started working and became the baker at Bradford Mini Mart, where she enjoyed her job very much.

Millie's husband's illness started a new chapter in their lives which led them to leave Corinth and move to Bradford with her daughter and son-in-law. Millie's husband of 50 years, George, went to be with the Lord in 2008. She loved the family dog, Bella, and their cat Sully very much.

She is survived by her son, George Bruder and wife Jody McCalmont of Los Gatos, CA, daughter Susan A. Bean and husband Rodney of Bradford, son John O. Bruder and wife Brenda of Piqua OH, daughter Millie Phaneuf and husband John of Bradford, son Willliam O. Bruder of Bradford, and daughter Anna Lynn Brace and husband Toby of St Albans, VT; 17 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren with two more expected within two weeks.

A celebration of life will be held at Corinth Bible Church, 732 Center Road, Corinth, on Aug. 29 at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mildred A Bruder to Visiting Nurse and Hospice for VT & NH, PO Box 976, White River Junction, VT 05001-0976; or Corinth Bible Church, 732 Center Road, Corinth VT 05039.
