Jenetta Howard

Jenetta Howard, daughter of the late James (Jim) and Melissa Sergent Niece was born in Letcher County, Kentucky February 6, 1929. She entered eternal life Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 86 years, 8 months and 22 days of age at the time of her passing.

She was married to late Eddie Howard on November 26, 1952. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2000. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitesburg, Kentucky. Jenetta loved the Young At Heart group with all of the ladies at her church. She enjoyed shopping, eating out and spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Keith (Greta) Howard of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Two daughters; Doretha (Ben) Bentley of Millstone, Kentucky and Edwina (Eddie) Adams of Payne Gap, Kentucky. One brother, Jack Niece of Quicksand, Kentucky. One sister, Geneva Meade of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Seven grand children; Misty Wright, Tonya Potter, Amanda Thomas, Ashley Adams, Andrea Fox, Lyndsey Potter and Bryan Howard. Ten great grandchildren; Peyton, Waylon, Ava, Taylor, Elijah, Bailee, Mckynlee, Jesse, Brady and Landon.

Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by one brother, Burl Niece.

Service was held at the First Baptist Church, Whitesburg, Kentucky on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 11:00 O'clock A.M. and officiated by Tony Brown.

Burial followed in the Green Acres Cemetery, Ermine, Kentucky. Everidge Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
