Wendy Jeanne Natkong freed spirit from body on December 14, 2009 after a full and interesting life. She & her husband resided in the Rowan community in Bladen County, North Carolina. She was bom in Boise, Idaho on September 9th, 1948, raised in Grifton, North Carolina and lived in a variety of locales throughout her lifetime, but always felt that Alaska was home. She lived in Sitka & Juneau, Alaska for over 16 years. She had a memorable career as a Paramedic & EMS Educator in both Texas & Alaska. She met & married her beloved husband, Donald Natkong, while working in Alaska. 3 children were born to her, Michelle Leigh Marker of Kelly, North Carolina; Gary Paul Allcox of Durham, North Carolina; and Brandon Keith Wan-en of Conroe, Texas. She is also survived by three brothers, Randy Carey of Arapahoe, North Carol-in;?: Gray Harkier of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; & Brian Barker of Gris-fton. North Carolina; 3 grandchildren, Levi & Billy - Gray Weatherly, Ethan Allcox; parents Maxine & B. G. Marker of Grifton, North Carolina; mother-in-law & husband, Maggie and Pat Verney; father-in-law, Donald V. Natkong St.; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, St dear friends. She also leaves behind her dogs, Chaco and Brodie; eats. Brutus and Khaki. She asked that a special mention of gratitude fo to her physician. Dr. Arthur Ap-olinario of Clinton & Newton Grove. At her requesty, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or send flowers to cheer a friend.
