Beulah "Billie" F. Shaffer

Beulah "Billie" F. Shaffer, age 87 died on January 18th, 2009 in Everett, Washington.

She was born Beulah F. Strutz in Seattle, Washington on December 22nd, 1921. She lived in Ketchikan from 1952 through 1978.

She married Louis H. Shaffer on February 11, 1942 in Seattle, Washington.

Mrs. Shaffer served as the Madam President of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles No. 162 in Ketchikan. She also was involved in the Alaska Crippled Children Association, the Sew & Gab Circle, the Granit Falls (Washington) Senior Center, & the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Granite Falls, Washington.

Mrs. Shaffer enjoyed crocheting, beach combing, hiking, & dancing.

She is preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by her sons; Richard Shaffer of Granite Falls, Washington & Russell D. Shaffer, Thorne Bay; daughter, Linda S. Smith of Everett, Washington; grandchildren Billie Jo Thomas of Everett; Crystal Pederson of Arlington, Washington; Rhianon Haburagi, Matthew Shaffer of Lynnwood, Washington; Jenny Lynn Shafer; great-grand-children, Shantae Smith-Roberts, Steven A. Fryberg, & Danial E. Pederson, all of Arlington, Washington; Moe Haburagi, Makoto Haburagi and Anna Haburagi, all of Lynnwood, Washington.

Funeral services were held on January 28th, 2009 at the Arlington Cemetery.
