Lorin Armond Corbridge, 87

Lorin Armond Corbridge, 87, of Ab erdeen, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in Pocatello, ID, surrounded by his family.

He was born July 9, 1927 in Sterling, ID, to Leslie Ambrose and Ruby May Clay-pool Corbridge. Lorin was a lifetime resident of Aberdeen. He attended elementary school in Sterling and went to Aberdeen High School and then was drafted into the service his senior year.

On March 22, 1950 Lorin married Donna Mae Hantz in Elko, NV. On March 28, 1964 they were solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Aberdeen.

Lorin served in the United States Army at the end of World War II, in Korea and the Philippines. Then he became a member of the American Legion after he was discharged.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; he fulfilled callings in scouting, as a home teacher and in the Sunday School.

Lorin worked as an auto body technician in Aberdeen for Kosankie and later Landvatter Motors. He also worked in the automotive glass business. He owned and operated Lorin's Auto Glass and worked for the University of Idaho Aberdeen Research and Extension Center where he retired from.

Lorin loved woodworking, camping, fishing and his cabin in Palisades. He enjoyed working in his yard, tending his flowers and lawn, collecting coins and traveling. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Lorin is survived by his wife, Donna, of Aberdeen; his sons, Rick (Mary) Corbridge, of Aberdeen, Rus (Rose) Corbridge, of Pocatello; two sisters, Ila May (Paul) Paitner and Elaine (Lennard) Bradley; five grandchildren, Ericka (Jeremy) Ziebarth, Wendy (Jared) Bunderson, Josh Corbridge, Johnny Corbridge and Monica Chapman; 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Vernal, Glen, Leslie Delbert and Loal, and sisters, Elva, Doris and Ardella, and three great-grandchildren, Alex, Bridger and Olivia. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Aberdeen First Ward Chapel. The family will greet friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
