JONES COUNTY: Dewey Lee Wooten passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 3, 11:00 a.m., at New Hope Baptist Church, 1393 GA Highway 49, Macon The Revs. David Long and Len Woodard officiated. The visitation was held on Monday, Nov.2, from5:00p.m.-7:00p.m., at Hart's Mortuary Jones County Chapel, 307 Pecan Lane, Gray.

Dewey was a retired auto mechanic and a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where he was a member of the senior adult class. He loved to fish and loved his family.

Mr. Wooten is survived by his wife of 41 years, Gladys Peavy Wooten of Jones County; son, Aaron Wooten of Seattle, Wash.; daughter, Catherine Wooten of Milledgeville; son, Ronnie Wooten of Milledgeville; stepdaughters, Joy Martin (Henry) and Angie McKinney (Lee) of Macon; stepsons, Richard Soles (Carol) and Ray Soles (Debbie) of Macon; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
