Come by and buy some pie
To start out this wejek, just a reminder that the Senior Center will be closed on July 3 for the holiday. We will be baking pies to sell on the 4th when we have our usual bar-beque sandwiches. We will start serving right after the parade. Pies will be avail able by the piece, or you may buy the whole pie. No huckleberry pies this time, but most other kinds will be available.
Our bus to Ontario will be going south on the 9th, as our normal day would be the 2nd, and that is too close to the holiday weekend.
Our foot clinic will be on the 10 and we will have our Bingo game on the 10th also.
The 4th of July appears to be real busy for everyone. My no. 2 brother is going to be here from Muskogee, OK for a short visit. I am anxious to see him and his wife. We have such a good time. When I ask him how long he is going to stay, his regular answer is, "Until you make me mad!" I am the oldest sibling, so I guess they get their sense of humor from their sister.
I worked the quilt show again on Saturday, and the day sure went by quickly. The students who entered their quilts in the show are sure talented. There are some gorgeous quilts; you should come take a look before they close on the 6th. I heard the people who went to the lunchen had some great food and great entertainment.
Did you like the warm weekend? I stayed inside and even got in a nap on Sunday afternoon. You know there are some nice benefits that come with age and retirement.
I hope you will come and join us on the 4th at lunch and have a great 4th of July holiday. Be safe and stay cool, that is if you can. Until next week, so long and have a good one. Week that is.
