No surprises in area elections
SPECIAL --In Currie Karen Johansen was elected mayor with 61 votes, Thomas W Norenberg received 14 votes and there were 17 write ins. For council Eugene Short was elected with 50 votes, Dwight was elected with 64 votes and there were 46 write in votes.
In Dovray Herb Hansen was re-elected to mayor with 24 votes, There were 10 write in votes. Joann Shaw was elected to the council with 29 votes, Angie Cohrs was also elected with 19 votes, Tiffany Holmes garnered 5 votes and there were 12 write in votes.
In Jeffers Brad Prins was elected mayor with 118 votes, and there was 21 write in votes. Elected to the council were Sheila Ryker with 106 votes, Shawna Door-Jones with 103 votes. There was also 23 write in votes.
In Revere Dean Baker was elected mayor with 30 votes, and there were 2 write in votes. Elected to the council were Jason Danielowski with 29 votes and Robert Albertson with 25 votes. There were 3 write ins.
In Storden Larry Shwarting was elected with 87 votes. Elected to the council were Gale Swenson with 59 votes, and Leon Stalls with 42 votes. Others receiving votes were Pat Peterson with 32 votes, Marcus Determan with 31 votes, and Travis Halland with 17 votes.
In Walnut Grove Greg Hansen was reelected with 190 votes and 9 write ins. Elected to the council were Leonard McLaughlin with 151 votes, and Jeffrey R. Harnack with 145 votes. Carol Swanson tallied 79 votes and there were 10 write in votes.
In Westbrook Rocky Kolar was re-elected as mayor with 271 votes and 13 write ins. Elected to the council were Janet Johnson with 266 votes, and David Moriarty with 193 votes. There were 7 write in votes.
WWG School board three seats were filled, Kerry Knakmuhs had 873 votes, Maydra Maas had 866 votes, and Greg Madson had 850 votes.
In Cottonwood
County 1st
Commissioner District Jim Schmidt was elected with 517 votes. Doug Johnson had 421 votes.
