Small business construction firms and heavy equipment operators with a focus on road improvement and reconstruction are invited to a free workshop from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Oct. 6, at the Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds Mineral Building.

The workshop is designed to acquaint attendees with basic registration and certification requirements and how to prepare a business to contract with the Plumas National Forest.

Even those without previous experience working for federal agencies are invited to attend this workshop to learn how small businesses can be eligible and compete for Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts that will be issued for restoration work in the Plumas National Forest.

The organizers advise that the workshop will not be about Virtual Incident Procurement, but VIPR contract holders are welcome to attend.

The workshop is sponsored by Plumas National Forest, Plumas County and the California Capital Procurement Technical Assistance Center.

Registration information will be available soon at usda.gov/plumas.
