Pool Rejuvination Project Planned

CopyYou may or may not know that the Canistota city pool will be undergoing a face lift.
The City of Canistota will be undertaking some major renovations at the municipal swimming pool in the spring of 2016.
The condition of the pool is becoming poor, as the paint is peeling, and the cement is crumbling along with the steps. The city will be installing a liner in the pool and possibly a water line tile.
In a recent survey that the City of Canistota conducted, the majority of respondents expressed the importance of having a pool in town, not only for children, but for adults, and those of surrounding communities as well.
To determine if the water pipes for the pool are still in usable condition, a series of pressure tests will be conducted. To date, the contract has not yet been awarded to any company.
The only bids that will be considered by the city for this project, will be bids from reputable contractors that are experienced, and regularly engage in municipal pool renovations. The pool isnt the only thing that will be undergoing a renovation. The bathhouse and showers will also have some work done to them.
Next time you decide to go to the pool, you will be greeted with a next to new pool facility.
