The East Mountain boys basketball team lost on its home court Jan. 28, falling to the Pecos Panthers 64-33. Pecos, which already had a commanding lead at the half, went on an 11-0 run midway through the third period to put the game out of reach.

Throughout most of die game Pecos applied a stifling full-court press defense which not only kept the T-wolves at bay, but resulted in a number of turnovers and fast-break points for the Panthers.

"They're a quick, explosive team," coach Matt Pribble said of the Panthers. "We're' trying to become a better ball-handling team."

EMHS Junior Erik Alberts led the Timberwolves with 12 points while Sophmoresb Ryan Berryman and Mike James each contributed 7.
