Cell phone woes

In case you were switched from Alltel to AT&T for your cell phone service and you are having problems with reception, you are not alone. We have received several reports from people who have experienced "no service" in places where they had a signal with Alltel, dropped calls, poor sound quality and bad Internet connection.

People using Verizon or Ting (Sprint) seem happy with their service, although one person said Verizon was a little more expensive than Alltel (but worth it). Some people (including me) are saving a ton of money going with Ting (Ting.com), getting about the same reception and much better customer service than with Alltel.
