Ann Ruth James

Ann Ruth James, 94, of Beaver Dam, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford. She was born Jan. 4, 1915, to the late Gilbert and Leona Myrtle Humphrey Hoskins in Beaver Dam. She was a member of the Church of Christ in McHenry, a homemaker, and a 60-year member of Grace Chapter #37 Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ray James, who passed away June 23, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Lou Fultz; two sisters, Margaret Francis and Jettrue Coleman; and two brothers, Riley Hoskins and Gilbert Ross Hoskins.

Survivors include one son, Sercie James and wife, Brenda, of Hartford; two daughters, Nadine Thompson and husband, Johnny, of Crystal River, Fla., and Janice Cook of Beaver Dam; one sister, Lola Mae Barnes of Louisville; four grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 25, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Kirby Duncan officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Online messages of condolence can be made at
